Backgammon its Past – Now and Then

Backgammon is the oldest known game in history. It has been called as the "little war," backgammon began in Mesopotamia (now known as Iraq) almost five thousand years ago. For all that, Egyptians called backgammon "Senat," which was a close style of the current game played today. Hundreds of years ago, only men and women in power, the prevailing figures of royalty like Egyptian queens, were able to play. The game began to grow worldwide in time. Distinctive Backgammon versions have been developed in several states and societies, but the general codes of those versions are similar to that of the archaic form . For instance, The Greeks took hold of the game and coined the name "bac gamen." From there, the English borrowed backgammon in the 17th century and have stuck with it ever since. Backgammon and competing ancient games were never acknowledged by many clergy. The religious believe that the game was the work of Beelzebub. This led clergy to ban and burn the game. The ban and burning did not prevent individuals betting on games and being entertained.
Technology offers a brand-new arena for Backgammon. When different electronic games are available everywhere, computer academics in Artificial Intelligence (AI) use Backgammon for researching, advancing and measuring AI ideas and breakthroughs as a result of the ease of game principles and complexity of strategies.
