The Essential Details of Backgammon Tactics – Part 2

As we dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of talent and luck. The aim is to shift your chips carefully around the board to your inside board and at the same time your opponent shifts their pieces toward their inner board in the opposing direction. With opposing player chips shifting in opposing directions there is going to be conflict and the need for particular strategies at particular times. Here are the 2 final Backgammon tactics to complete your game.
The Priming Game Plan
If the purpose of the blocking plan is to hamper the opponents ability to move his checkers, the Priming Game tactic is to absolutely stop any movement of the opposing player by building a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent’s chips will either get hit, or end up in a damaged position if he/she ever attempts to leave the wall. The ambush of the prime can be built anywhere between point two and point 11 in your board. Once you’ve successfully assembled the prime to stop the activity of the opponent, the competitor does not even get a chance to toss the dice, and you move your pieces and roll the dice yet again. You will be a winner for sure.
The Back Game Strategy
The aims of the Back Game technique and the Blocking Game tactic are very similar – to harm your competitor’s positions in hope to better your chances of winning, but the Back Game plan relies on different techniques to do that. The Back Game tactic is generally employed when you’re far behind your competitor. To participate in Backgammon with this technique, you need to control two or more points in table, and to hit a blot (a single checker) late in the game. This plan is more difficult than others to employ in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your pieces and how the chips are moved is partially the result of the dice roll.
